What is magic and why talk about it in times of collapse? Why might remembering the sentience of this world be worth while in a world on fire?

How do we disrupt panicked urgency while also cultivating a deep responsiveness to the trouble of our world, as well as it’s beauty? How can we move beyond anthropocentrism, linear thinking, and urgency in our politics?

These are some of the questions we’ll be exploring in our Grief Magic Salon/Book club today from 12-2pm eastern time, where we will be discussing our curated grief magic reads for May- which explore understandings of magic, the erotic, the sensuous, the role(s) of animist consciousness and grief in times of great trouble. This is a conversation that I am so excited to be in with all of you.
BUT please don’t feel like you have to have gotten through all of the readings to join us! Bring a few quotes, themes, or questions you would like to discuss with one another.
